Norfolk folk artist Ervin Munir has released his latest single, Lifeline, showcasing a heartfelt new direction in his ever-growing catalog. Teaming up with local vocalist Kate Swanson, this collaboration emphasizes connection and hope, themes that have long been present in his albums Broken Compass and Pure and Simple.
The track opens with a gentle piano, setting a reflective tone before Kate’s vocals take center stage. Their voices intertwine seamlessly in the chorus, layered over guitar arrangements that gradually build, creating a sense of warmth and emotional uplift. Ervin describes the song as different from his usual releases, focusing on the power of one person to pull someone back from loneliness—a sentiment that resonates throughout the track.
Since settling in Sheringham in 2011, Ervin has become a cornerstone of North Norfolk’s music community, co-running the popular Rock the Lobster open mic night and performing regularly across the region. His music has not only gained recognition locally but has also been featured on BBC Radio and other international stations, earning praise from leading music blogs.
With over 20 singles released since October 2022, Lifeline marks a fresh chapter in Ervin Munir’s evolving sound—blending folk sensibilities with emotional storytelling and highlighting the profound impact of human connection.
